About Midwest SETAC
The Midwest Regional Chapter of the Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry (Midwest SETAC) is a regional, professional society established in 1992 to promote the use of multidisciplinary approaches to examine the impacts of chemicals and technology on the environment.

Who are we?
Midwest SETAC is the most energetic of all SETAC regional chapters. We are comprised of environmental scientists, managers and engineers from academia, government, industry and environmental interest groups.

 

 

 Our mission is to:

Membership Criteria
Members are qualified professionals who share the stated purpose of the Chapter and who have education, research, or applied experience in environmental toxicology and/or chemistry. Members of the Midwest Chapter do not have to be members of the Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry.
Student Members are persons who share the stated purpose of the Chapter and show promise of becoming qualified for Member status at a later date.
Sustaining Members are organizations or persons who share the stated purpose of the Chapter and wish to further the activities of the Chapter. Annual financial support as defined by the Chapter is required from sustaining members

  1. Promote research, education, training, and development of the environmental sciences.
  2. Encourage interactions among environmental scientists and disseminate information on environmental toxicology and chemistry.
  3. Sponsor scientific and educational programs and provide a forum for communication among professionals in government, business, academia, and other segments of the environmental science community involved in the use, protection, and management of the environment.

 

Midwest SETAC is a non-profit organization dedicated to the use of multidisciplinary approaches to examine the impacts of chemicals and technology on the environment. The chapter is operated as an independent affiliate of the international SETAC organization and is wholly responsible for the information provided. Feel free to contact us with questions.
